Wedding Music

The most important thing is that you enjoy this once in a lifetime experience of a wedding, both on the day and during the planning phase. You don’t need to worry about how the wedding will run. As far as wedding music goes, book me….. and it’s done – I will guide you and make it easy.

Most importantly, when you book me for your wedding you are not just getting any pianist, not just a bland live performance that may as well have been an CD or MP3. No, you are booking the Piano Guy, who your guests will see as an awesome feature of the day. I am there to interact with your guests and keep them engaged in your day by taking requests and lighting up the atmosphere. Not just piano music……piano music with personalty!

The important parts of your wedding day.

There are three main parts to most wedding days as shown below.

Ceremony

I arrive 1.5 hours before the ceremony and set up in the ceremony area (which can be outside weather permitting) I start playing when the guests are being seated in the ceremony room – approx 15 minutes before the ceremony time. Then right on cue I play as the bridal party and bride enter, during the signing of the register (usually 2-3 songs) and then for your grand exit!

Drinks Reception

This usually happens immediately after the ceremony. The guests will follow the bride and groom out of the ceremony and be shown to an area to have a drink and mingle. Often the bride and groom will take this opportunity to have photos taken. At this point your guests need a little entertainment and this is where I really shine! With up to 1.5 hours of live music music to make this time memorable and fun, taking requests from the guests so they really feel connected to the event and energised for the rest of the day!

Wedding Breakfast

The first meal together as a married couple, hence the term breakfast, but this meal is usually mid afternoon. Here the newlyweds sit with their guests and enjoy what is often a three course meal. I provides appropriate music while you dine for up to 2 hours. Whether you prefer it laid back or if you want your guests on your feet singing (or both), I can make this happen. No more food coma for your guests. I keep them alert and prepped to transition in to an awesome party night with your DJ or band of choice.
