Mark’s Musical Journey
Have a look through some of the highlights of Mark’s musical career. As a proficient multi instrumentalist Mark has been involved in some great projects.
Mark toured assistant music director, keyboard player/guitarist for the Uk tour of the broadway musical RENT in 2001. Featuring Adam Rickett as the the character Mark, the tour concluded with a residency in London’s Prince of Wales Theatre, thus adding a west-end credit to Mark’s resume.
Crazy Piano Guy
Mark entered the 2002 competition at Crazy Pianos, Schevningen, NL. After winning his heat he returned to win the final. He competed against some amazing players, most of which have gone on to be some of the best performers in the business. Mark’s relentless energy and powerful voice made him popular with the crowd – and they voted Mark the best.
The Piano Guy L!VE
Mark became one of the faces of the chain of nightclubs in the Netherlands called simple L!VE. The concept was simple – L!VE piano bar music with a drummer all night. Guests could bring their parties as early as 7 to dine from the great menu while one of the nights 6 pianists entertain. As the night progresses the party level rises into full L!VE duelling pianos with drums. This in many respects was the template upon which The Live Piano Experience Duelling Pianos was based on
