Woohoo this wedding was a fun one at Hope Street Hotel. There was all sorts going on to celebrate the wedding of Cheryl and Wayne.
What was particularly cool about this wedding is that it was all about the PARTY! They wanted to have fun and not even the violently stormy weather was going to stop them. The Bride and her sister are in the business of organising events themselves so they were no stranger to making stuff happen. They brought such different and diverse entertainment ideas that day that there really never was a dull moment or flat spot in the whole event.
Guests arrived at 5pm to some relaxed christmas music from me. Then at 5.30, Santa and his helpers (courtesy of Angelic Talent Entertainment) led in the bride and groom accompanied by a roaming jazz band who contributed in playing some roaring 20s style Xmas hits
Then at 6.30 the very talented Alex Windrow began entertaining with his eclectic mix of tunes spread across multiple instruments.
He whipped up the crowd nicely for me to go on at 8.30 playing hits from the 50s to the present day. I was also joined by the beautiful Disco Heads leading the party dancing to some disco bangers. We even had a guest rapper in the form of the brides sister – spitting out “Ice Ice baby” like a gangster
It was also great to meet and swap funny stores with The Struths husband and wife photo team.
The whole event wrapped up at midnight and everyone was partied out!
Wishing Cheryl and Wayne continued happiness and success.
Hope street hotel by the way os a fantastic wedding venue with multiple floors, great cafes and restaurants, plenty of accommodation and amazing views of the city of Liverpool. But, I think the best part about it is the Pianobar they have in the basement complete with gorgeous and well maintained black Grand Piano. See below for a video of me entertaining at a previous weddings drinks reception.
