NEW VENUE WOOHOOO! I absolutely #loved being at Middleton Lodge Estate yesterday for the wedding of Sam and Seán. It was my first time there – first of many ??.
There were lots of things that made this wedding particularly special. Of course most importantly the wonderful #bride and #groom who are both looking fantastic and were genuine lovely people….. …….Then there was their son Joseph who was clearly an absolute legend in the making – holding court with the grown up guests in his smart suit making jokes and playing pranks……
……Then there was their choice of song to walk down the aisle – Fathers and Daughters by Michael Bolton which, I must admit made me a little emotional as a dad myself……..
……. then there was Cousin Tara who sang Heaven with me – the Do/Dj Sammy candlelight for the signing of the register…..
……. then there was the #dutch connection. The bride had spent some of her life in the #netherlands and spoke Dutch very well I’m told. One guest actually recognised me from Crazy Pianos (where I will be appearing for the next 3 weekends).
Sadly the weather was not promising enough to hold the ceremony outside but we took a risk on it for the drinks reception. Happily, it paid off and the couple and their guests were able to enjoy the gardens along with some great tunes from me and delicious ice cream from Lanzas Traditional Ice Cream
All in all a fantastic Yorkshire Wedding
